Tom’s Father: Simple Past Reading

This Sunday is Father’s Day in many countries. In honor of all the great dads out there, our Spotlight lesson this week is Tom’s Father.

This lesson focuses on a reading about three friends and their fathers. Follow-up tasks include comprehension questions and review exercises on regular past verbs in positive statements, negative statements, and questions. There is also a chart and exercise on the pronunciation of simple past tense endings.

All of the readings in our Library section have a digital component, so teachers and parents can choose how to present the reading and comprehension questions—either on paper or online!
