Summer Olympics

The 2016 Summer Olympic Games take place from August 5–21 in Rio, Brazil. Now is a great time to try our brand new Summer Olympics vocabulary lesson with your young learners!

This eight-page Word Bank lesson contains ten common Olympic sporting events. The lesson begins with a colorful picture dictionary and is followed by a variety of activities that will help your young learners stay engaged while they review the new words. Activities include a matchup, a word choice, a word search, a word scramble, and a spelling bee. This lesson ends with discussion questions so that your students can try using the new vocabulary in context!
