Have you ever studied the present perfect tense? We’re excited to promote our NEW lesson on the Present Perfect! We included grammar tips and charts to make this tense easy to teach and learn. We also included both functions of the present perfect along with exercises that compare it to the simple past. The Travel theme makes this lesson fun and relevant!
Our comprehensive 12-page present perfect lesson starts off with a clear, easy-to-follow grammar explanation. Next, there is a variety of exercises such as sentences, dialogues, stories, speaking exercises, and writing exercises—all of these tasks allow learners to practice the first function of the present perfect, compare it to the simple past, and learn the time markers ever, never, already, still, and yet. This is followed by two exercises to practice the second function and the time markers for and since. Finally, there is a class survey and quiz to review everything they’ve learned in the lesson.
The tasks in this lesson include individual, pair, and group exercises. You can choose whether to do the entire lesson in one day or to break it up over a few days and/or assign some of it for homework. You could also make the Quiz an official one!
